Rhesis Green Label Standards

Rhesis Green Label

The Rhesis Green Label is a technical standard for digital sustainability. It defines measurable efficiency thresholds designed to reduce global energy impact through Digital Quality, and recognises the websites that meet them.

The standard measures. It does not rank, review or sell placement.

Validation Criteria

Validation is performed by analyzing the website's Home Page. Data is audited using objective parameters from Google PageSpeed Insights, across all four areas (Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO), on both Mobile and Desktop configurations. The score must be reached in every single area, never as an average.

The measurement is public and repeatable: anyone can run the same test and obtain the same result.

Recognition

Recognition lasts two years. Periodic audits apply: notification if any area falls below the threshold, 30 days to restore it, revocation if it is not restored.

Fees for Websites

We charge for measurement, never for the right to reference the standard. The Observatory may also validate and list websites by its own initiative. Removal can be requested at any time.

Info & Applications

Ethical Policy: Inclusion is reserved for businesses respecting the environment and professional ethics. Applications are not accepted from companies involved in deforestation, animal testing (vivisection), intensive farming, or proven serious environmental harm.

Adopting directories apply this policy as a good-faith admission filter, based on each site's self-declaration: a lighter duty of verification, not a lower standard. Responsibility for compliance rests with each listed website.
